Rumpl Appoints James Atkin as Vice President of Marketing

Former NOMATIC executive to lead Rumpl’s next phase of expansion

PORTLAND, Ore. (January 26, 2026) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Rumpl, the category creator of technical outdoor blankets, announces the appointment of James Atkin as vice president of global brand. Atkin will lead the brand’s global marketing strategy as Rumpl expands its product portfolio and deepens its presence across the outdoor active lifestyle market.

Atkin joins Rumpl effective immediately, bringing more than 15 years of experience scaling consumer outdoor and adventure brands. Most recently, he served as vice president of marketing at NOMATIC, where he led global brand strategy and helped guide the company through a period of self-funded growth. During his tenure, Atkin expanded NOMATIC’s omnichannel footprint and strengthened customer loyalty through integrated brand and performance initiatives.

Prior to NOMATIC, Atkin held senior marketing leadership roles at Topo Designs, Black Diamond and Goal Zero. Atikins spearheaded global go-to-market strategies, brand repositioning efforts and high-impact collaborations spanning ecommerce, retail, partnerships and experiential activations. Notably, he led Goal Zero’s social media team, taking the brand from 0 to 300,000 followers and 100M impressions in a year.
