Strava and Fi Partner to Launch a first-of-its-kind Integration for National Walk Your Dog Day

February 22, 2024

Fi Smart Collar members will now have the ability to integrate their dog’s activity metrics and share with their community on Strava

SAN FRANCISCO – February 22, 2024/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Strava, the leading digital community for active people with more than 120 million athletes, today announced a new partnership with Fi, the connected dog collar and health platform. Launched as a celebration of Walk Your Dog Day, Strava and Fi’s partnership gives athletes the ability to seamlessly integrate their active lives with their dogs, and share with their communities on Strava.

According to data from the Strava Year In Sport Trend Report, 76% of Strava athletes with pets say their furry companions motivate them to get them out the door when they wouldn’t go otherwise – and that exercising with their pet is more fun. Further encouraging athletes and their pets to get active together, Strava and Fi’s partnership integration allows users to track dog-specific stats and celebrate their pet’s progress with their community.

Strava data has shown that pets are a key motivator for many athletes in pursuing their goals,” said Mateo A. Ortega, Vice President, Connected Partnerships, Strava. “This partnership with Fi is a natural fit, and a way for athletes to not only include pets in their community, but get credit for all of their movement including the daily dog walks.”

Starting today, Fi members and anyone on Strava can:

  • Bring activity with your dog to life: Along with the standard Strava map, your Fi uploads will also include a graphic featuring stats from your walk. Share your pup’s athletic ability with your community, with insights into how many steps they took and how they rank among other Fi dogs.
  • Set it and forget it: Sync your Fi and Strava, and get moving! Fi will automatically upload completed walks to share with your Strava community. Fi members can begin syncing dog walk activities to Strava by simply authorizing the integration under Connected Apps in their Fi settings.
  • Show your Strava love: Limited edition co-branded Fi x Strava collars are available today for purchase on the Fi store.
