Suweeka Taps SIMBOL Communications as PR Agency of Record

September 22, 2023

Suweeka’s unique approach to bike transport yields new Bike Lifter Rack and Quick Connect Hitch Cleat, just the first of multiple upcoming rack innovations

Portland, Oregon (September 22, 2023)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – With the imminent launch of its debut product, a first-of-its-kind hitch rack system aimed at the growing e-bike, cycling and e-moto markets, Suweeka is bringing in SIMBOL Communications as its North American Agency of Record (AOR) to handle media/public relations efforts and assist with other marketing strategies and initiatives. With 50 years combined experience in the outdoor and cycling industries, SIMBOL will help spread the news of their new racks to the broadest array possible of relevant media and influencers, from endemic cycling to general outdoor and active lifestyle titles.

In 2022, Suweeka Founder and Chief Inventor Spencer T Houser – an engineer and avid outdoor enthusiast, motorcycle rider and cyclist – set out to design the most user-friendly, multi-purpose, easily adaptable hitch-rack system ever: a modular rack ecosystem allowing the rack to organically adapt to your lifestyle. The first resulting product is the Bike Lifter which attaches to the vehicle’s hitch with the equally innovative and user-friendly Quick Connect Hitch Cleat connector system.

Suweeka’s ecosystem is truly unique in the hitch-mounted rack world: Their design allows the user to lower or raise the trays (or future gear-carrying products) without tilting to best suit the users needs. On many vehicles it can even lower flat to the ground for roll-on loading and roll-off unloading, the easiest system on the market.

When the carrier needs to be swapped for a different activity, the Quick Connect Hitch Cleat allows the rack interface to remain attached in the hitch receiver, requiring the user to swap only the specific activity rack. The Bike Lifter Rack (and all future activity-specific iterations) then simply ‘clicks onto’ the Quick Connect, and the user can lower the carriage so the trays sit on or close to the ground. The load can then be easily raised back up to the set driving position and reversed upon arrival for unloading.

“Our rack has many benefits to any rider but especially those with e-bikes or e-motorcycles that can weigh up to 80 pounds or more. Lifting any of these heavy bikes onto a rack can be extremely difficult and even dangerous: I knew there had to be a better way, and our Lifter is the solution,” says Houser. “It allows anyone to roll on, raise up and go and then lower down, roll off and enjoy your bike ride.

“But we’re not stopping with just a bike rack; Suweeka’s goal is to offer a variety of quick release attachments, and we’ll be following up with those soon. And perhaps the coolest thing about all of this is our ecosystem design whereby any of the future carrying solutions can be easily clicked on or off thanks to the Quick Connect Hitch Cleat. These are far lighter and easier to install than traditional designs.

SIMBOL is eager to help spread the word about this new and innovative rack system. “Our ideal client is one whose products are as high in quality and innovation as they are exceptional, and that’s definitely the case with Suweeka,” says Nic Sims, Co-Founder. “We love to work with out-of-the-box thinkers, and innovators like Spencer and his team at Suweeka definitely ticked all the boxes. We were amazed at how easily their ecosystem can be adapted to suit all of your outdoor activities. We’re also e-bike lovers, and the thought of lifting those bikes is intimidating – the Lifter makes things so easy, and left us asking, ‘Why hasn’t this been done before?’”
