SweatWorks Named the Official Mobile App and Live GPS Crossing Crusader Tracking Partner of Crossing For A Cure, the Largest Fundraising Endurance Paddle in the US

June 13, 2019

Washington, D.C. – SweatWorks is excited to announce they have been named the Official Mobile App and Live GPS Crossing Crusader Tracking Partner of Crossing For A Cure, an 80-mile endurance paddle from the Bahamas to Florida that raises money for the Cystic Fibrosis community, which takes place on Saturday, June 15, 2019.

“Piper’s Angels Foundation is excited to be working with SweatWorks and Garmin® to introduce an exciting tracking experience and ensure a higher level of safety for all of our participants” said Travis Suit, founder of Piper’s Angels.

This year, each of the 225 participants will use the Garmin inReach® Mini, a palm-sized two-way satellite communicator, attached to their board or personal flotation device. Connecting to the Iridium® satellite network, SweatWorks’ proprietary technology will enable the Official Crossing for a Cure Mobile App to display live GPS tracking for up to 10 participants at a time. “Garmin is proud to support the Crossing for a Cure event, and we’re excited to work with SweatWorks to enable live tracking of participants through the use of our inReach® satellite communicators and technology,” said Scott Marquis, InReach Enterprise Manager at Garmin.

Beginning at midnight – with the ceremonial launch in the Bahamas – the Official Mobile App’s elegant and intuitive user interface will provide friends, family and supporters the opportunity to experience firsthand the suspense happening at sea with a real-time play-by-play of the event, culminating in an exciting and memorable beach finish. “SweatWorks is thrilled to partner with Piper’s Angels, and I can’t think of a more deserving event than the Crossing to showcase our innovative live GPS tracking integration with Garmin” said Mohammed Iqbal, CEO at SweatWorks. You can download the Official Mobile App sponsored SweatWorks by searching for “Crossing For A Cure” in the Google Play or Apple Stores.

The Official Crossing for a Cure Mobile App also includes the Conquest Events Photos platform, which uses facial recognition to tag participants as well as spectators and volunteers for pictures taken before, during and after the event by the professional photography crew as well as spectators using the app. Anyone can upload their selfie and retrieve their photos in just seconds, all branded with the Crossing logo.

Also new this year, SweatWorks’ Conquest Events’ Timing and Results services will be utilized to provide the all paddlers with precise results displayed in real-time online on the Official Mobile App, the Crossing website and on Leaderboard TV’s at the finish line.
