Tailwind Announces New Non-Profit Partnership with Outride

April 12, 2021

Durango, CO (April 12, 2021)Tailwind Nutrition, the sports nutrition brand whose headquarters and manufacturing are based in Durango, Colorado announces its new partnership with Outride, a non-profit organization aimed at breaking down barriers so that all children have access to bicycles and a safe place to ride.

This April, Outride is announcing its new Outride Together campaign, a national and year-long campaign with the goal of generating more miles, more riders, and more connections. This campaign will serve as a call to action inviting industry partners, students, educators, ambassadors, and riders across the globe to demonstrate what we can #OutrideTogether. In honor of the campaign, Tailwind is donating 10% percent of all website sales from April 12th through April 18th to Outride.

“Tailwind Nutrition was born while riding mountain bikes so Outride’s focus on getting more youth on bikes is something we feel very passionate about. We’ve seen firsthand all the positive aspects of the sport in our local community, and we’re very excited to partner with Outride to break down barriers to cycling and help get more youth out riding nationwide,” said Jeff Vierling, Founder of Tailwind Nutrition.

Outride is a youth cycling organization that partners with schools, community partners, coaches, teams, and cyclists to advance more equitable, inclusive, and healthy futures for youth—and diversify the next generation of cyclists. Outride was founded based on the belief that cycling and wellbeing are connected and that cycling can bring communities together. The first step: get communities biking.

In addition to Outride’s “Outride Together” campaign, Tailwind is also being named as Outride’s first official community-level partnership. Outride is a natural partnership match for Tailwind, whose products encourage people of all ages and abilities to get outside and ride.

“We are delighted about our partnership with Tailwind. It was a natural fit given their team’s focus on getting people outside and active, and their shared commitment to increasing access for youth to the benefits of outdoors,” said Skye DeLano, Outride Executive Director.

Interested participants are able to get involved in three different ways. First, join the Outride Club on Strava and make sure your miles are logged. This is an open challenge to the cycling community: How many miles can we collectively ride to support a good cause?

Second, participants can advocate within their cycling community and mobilize resources to help diversify the next generation of cyclists. For additional information on how to mobilize, please visit outridetogether.org.

And lastly, share out! Participants are encouraged to tell their “why” for riding and to show the power of the cycling community. Participants can tag @outride and @tailwindnutrition on Instagram and hashtag #outridetogether.
