April 10, 2024

Fujifilm, Peak Design and Flickr join forces to protect wild places and outdoor spaces throughout North America

April 10, 2024 /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Today, The Conservation Alliance (TCA) announced that it will auction a FUJIFILM X100VI Limited Edition mirrorless digital camera, donated by FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Electronic Imaging Division. Auction proceeds will support TCA’s ongoing work to protect and expand North America’s wild and outdoor spaces. The online auction will take place from April 10-24, 2024, and will also include camera accessories and a backpack from Peak Designs, and 30-year Pro accounts to Flickr and SmugMug.

“We could not be more grateful to Fujifilm for their generous contribution to help us raise funds at this critically important time for conservation,” said Shoren Brown, Vice President of Public Affairs at The Conservation Alliance. “We are incredibly proud to have Fujifilm as a member. Our new partnership helps protect the outdoor spaces that many outdoor photographers count on.”

“Fujifilm cameras and lenses enable creatives to tell their stories through still and moving imagery,” said Victor Ha, vice president, Electronic Imaging and Optical Devices Divisions, FUJIFILM North America Corporation. “In addition to the tools used to create imagery, a critical part of the creative process is choosing a setting that lends both credibility and beauty to the story being shared. We are proud to support The Conservation Alliance as members, and also through the donation of our X100VI Limited Edition for their auction, to help raise funds to protect these important outdoor spaces throughout North America.”

In honor of Fujifilm’s founding in 1934, only 1,934 units of the highly sought after X100VI Limited Edition are being distributed worldwide, and only a small number of those will be distributed in the United States. X100VI fuses advanced digital imaging technology with a classic, dial-based design. Portable and lightweight, this camera is ready for creative adventures, delivering 40.2MP images, video up to 6.2K/30P, 20 Film Simulation modes (including the new REALA ACE), up to 6 stops of in-body image stabilization (IBIS), and AI-assisted autofocus for subject detection. X100VI Limited Edition is packaged in a special box that includes a strap, soft release button, and history cards. The camera body is engraved with the corporate brand logo from Fujifilm’s founding, along with a unique serial number.

To round out the package, the auction winner will also receive a Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod, Everyday Backpack 30L, Capture Clip, and Slide Lite from Peak Design; and a 30-year Pro account with Flickr and SmugMug, all of which are TCA members.

The auction will take place April 10-24, 2024. Participants can bid online by visiting the auction website. The proceeds will be utilized by TCA to advance the organization’s goal to protect and expand public lands in North America through policy and grantmaking.
