‘The Summit of the Gods’ Takes an Animated Approach to Everest

Netflix continues its mission to make every single possible film or television series in the universe with its new adaption of a manga series by Jiro Taniguchi, itself an adaptation of a novel. The story follows a Japanese photojournalist who thinks he recognizes the camera George Mallory and Sandy Irvine took with them on their ill-fated attempt to climb Everest in the hands of a local in the Himalaya.
