LIVSN’s Flagship Flex Canvas Pant Featured in Outside Magazine Summer Buyer’s Guide and Named “Favorite Pants of 2020” by Gear Junkie
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – June 16, 2020 – LIVSN Designs, maker of versatile outdoor apparel designed to last longer, is proud to announce strong customer and media feedback, growing retail traction, and new plans for sustainability and products.
LIVSN was founded in 2018 in Fayetteville, Arkansas and graduated with the 2019 Techstars Austin cohort while successfully launching its first products on Kickstarter. For the Kickstarter launch of the second version of the Flex Canvas Pant, LIVSN raised more than $100,000 to help fund development.
Since then, LIVSN’s traction has continued with orders coming in from across the globe and a growing list of retailers.
“To have such a strong response early on reaffirms all of the work we’ve done for design, sustainability, and in what some would call an insanely meticulous approach to making each LIVSN product,” said LIVSN founder and Arkansas native, Andrew Gibbs-Dabney. “And when you’ve been inside a project, devoting your life to it, it’s such an honor to hear the incredible feedback from customers and to be featured in major publications like Outside Magazineand Gear Junkie.”
Featured in the “Best Climbing Gear of 2020” section of Outside Magazine’s 2020 Summer Buyer’s Guide – “these trousers from LIVSN do it all” – the Outside team called out a few of the notable features that make the Flex Canvas Pant stand out. The Outside Magazine 2020 Summer Buyer’s Guide is currently available on newsstands.
After an extensive review by Gear Junkie’s Editor-in-Chief, Sean McCoy, the influential outdoor publication called LIVSN’s Flex Canvas Pant “Our Favorite Pants of 2020,” adding that LIVSN “nailed the design of an everyday and outdoor pant.”

While the brand was founded on sustainability, LIVSN continues to look to improve at every opportunity, going way beyond materials into processes, efficiency, and operations. This year, LIVSN will be removing nearly all single-use plastics from its supply chain in favor of roll-packing with recyclable paper twine.
LIVSN’s approach to retail parallels the quality over quantity method it applies to product development. Led by an experienced sales representative who was one of the brand’s first Kickstarter backers, LIVSN has built a sales team focused on partnering with a select group of retail partners for Fall 2020, with orders and positive buyer feedback from notable stores including Midwest Mountaineering in Minnesota, Massey’s Outfitters in Louisiana, and The Woodsman in Arkansas. LIVSN will be making its industry debut at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in January 2021, an opportunity to expand its retail presence in the Mountain and Western states.
New Products in the Works:
“When your customers are asking for things, it’s a great problem to have, and we have a few new items on the way that will integrate the design, durability, and sustainability approaches that people love about the Flex Canvas Pants,” added Gibbs-Dabney. “Look for some new items coming out later this summer and in early 2021.”
“We’re never going to be the brand that’s constantly launching new stuff, because that’s counter to the LIVSN philosophy of making things that are part of the daily rotation and help us own less while doing more. But we’re very excited about the amazing feedback we’re receiving from our customers, the media, and retailers, and know that we’ve found a brand niche and approach that’s working.”
