Big Agnes Supports Conservation Organizations with New Nature Print Chair Collection

March 17, 2021

A portion of sales proceeds will benefit Yampa River Fund and Continental Divide Trail Coalition

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (March 17, 2021)Big Agnes, the Steamboat Springs-based outdoor equipment brand, today introduced its new Nature Print Chair Collection, a continuation of the brand’s furniture line featuring prints inspired by the natural surroundings near the brand’s headquarters. The new collection includes “Brown Trout”, “Lichen” and “Elevation” prints, and a portion of sales will go to support the Yampa River Fund and the Continental Divide Trail Coalition (CDTC).

“The Nature Print Chair Collection was inspired by our local mountains and the river which runs just steps from our office in Steamboat Springs,” said Garett Mariano, marketing director at Big Agnes. “These natural wonders have been our inspiration and testing grounds for 20 years, and these prints highlight our commitment to the Continental Divide Trail and the Yampa River.”

The various prints will be available on some of the brand’s most popular chairs, including the Mica Basin Camp Chair, Mica Basin Armchair, Big Six Camp Chair and the Big Six Armchair. The “Brown Trout” print pays homage to the outdoor lifestyles rooted in river-based recreational activities, and offers tribute to the Yampa River and its colorful inhabitants. The “Lichen” print was inspired by the brand’s 2018 staff journey along the Colorado portion of the Continental Divide Trail and the hundreds of colorful lichen species that cling to its rocks. The “Elevation” print was influenced by the patterns found on local topographic and river system maps.

“The Nature Print Collection is a creative and impactful tribute to the Yampa River and its surroundings,” said Andy Baur of the Nature Conservancy and manager of the Yampa River Fund. “It demonstrates Big Agnes’ dedication to helping us preserve a healthy water supply and protecting the wildlife habitat where Brown Trout swim freely and our community thrives.”

“Big Agnes continues to be a valued partner of the Continental Divide Trail Coalition,” said Teresa Martinez, executive director of the CDTC. “From their adoption of 75 miles of the CDT, to this Nature Print Chair Collection, they have helped support our coalition’s mission of completing, promoting and protecting this revered trail.”

The Nature Print Chair Collection is available now at select retailers and online at www.bigagnes.com.
