Boardworks Introduces Rukus 10’6” SUP for All-Around Use

Rukus sets a new standard for durability and ease of use

CARLSBAD, Calif. (July 27, 2016) – Boardworks, a leader in innovative and award-winning surfboards and standup paddle (SUP) boards, paddles, and accessories, unveiled today the Rukus 10’6”: an all-around SUP chock full of premium features at budget-friendly price point.

“The Rukus sets a new standard for durability, convenience and ease of use for weekend adventures,” said Gretchen Gamble, marketing director for Boardworks. “It’s the perfect SUP for beginner to intermediate paddlers looking for an exceptionally stable board that excels in both flat water and waves.”

The board features a proprietary hull design and comes with a surf-capable 2+1 fin set up. Users can use one fin for excellent tracking in flat water or insert two additional fins for extra stability and better maneuverability in waves.

Boardworks coupled a Bombshell construction and Kevlar-reinforced rails with a full multi-textured deck pad for one-of-a-kind durability, impact resistance and maximum traction for long days on the water.

The multi-textured full deck pad provides slip-free space for kids and dogs to ride in comfort. Other features include four deck tie downs with bungee cord, an integrated LiftSUP handle and a tool-less FCS Connect center fin that makes getting into and out of the water easier than ever.

The Rukus 10‘6” is $999 USD and launches to retailers in January 2017.
