Dagger and Adventure Technology support GoPro Mountain Games

June 7, 2016

Confluence brands and athletes return for the 9th year to compete and raise funds for First Descents

GREENVILLE, S.C. (June 6, 2016) – Dagger and Adventure Technology are heading back to Vail, Colo. this year to support their pro team athletes at the 2016 GoPro Summer Mountain Games. Competitors from both teams will be participating in the Steep Creek Championship, Freestyle Kayak, Downriver Sprint, and 8-Ball Race.

Dagger, the premier designer and manufacturer of high-performance adventure-ready kayaks, and Adventure Technology, leader in innovative multi-discipline paddle design, return for the 9th year to support the 2016 Mountain Games. The June 9-12 GoPro Summer Mountain Games will build on a 14-year legacy as one of the premier outdoor sporting events in the world.

“The GoPro Games are a celebration of mountain sports and the mountain lifestyle. Both Dagger and Adventure Technology embody the sense of adventure that the Mountain Games environment provides. It’s the perfect venue for the brands and their athletes to connect with and compete alongside an awesome group of like-minded people,” said Evan Lyendecker, marketing director for Dagger and Adventure Technology.

Attendees can interact with the Dagger and Adventure Technology teams at their booths in Gear Town, where they’ll have chance to win a Katana 10.4 from Dagger and a Hercules fiberglass paddle from Adventure Technology. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit First Descents, a non-profit organization that provides outdoor adventure experience trips to young adults who are fighting cancer.

Or they can watch as the brands’ top athletes compete in events on Gore Creek, Homestake Creek, and the Vail Whitewater Park. Team Dagger and Team Adventure Technology athletes to keep an eye out for include:

Dagger athletes: Adriene Levknecht, Brad McMillan, Brendan Wells, Chris Gragtmans, Hunter Katich, Max Karlsson, Tad Dennis, Todd Wells, Brett Mayer, and Hunter Cooper.
