Field Mag Celebrates 10 Years of Outdoor Inspiration
June 26, 2025

New Print Magazine, Events in NYC and Portland, and Forthcoming Website Redesign
NEW YORK, NY (June 26, 2025) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ — Field Mag, the leading independent media company at the intersection of design, adventure, and the outdoors, proudly celebrates its 10th anniversary with two major announcements centered around community: a bold website redesign and the introduction of Field Mag Issue 01, a premium, portable 6.5” x 9” bi-annual print magazine, designed to meet readers where they are—on the subway, in the airport, at the crag, or home on the couch.
Since 2015, Field Mag has inspired a new generation of outdoor enthusiasts with design-forward gear reviews, film photo essays, and in-depth features championing accessibility, inclusion, and different definitions of adventure.
“I launched Field Mag on a bet, that others must exist out there like me—folks who grew up outdoors, now live in the cities, and are still looking to be inspired by nature and adventure.” says Founding Editor Graham Hiemstra. “10 years and 15 million readers later, we’ve built a tight community by speaking to fellow lovers of good design and the great outdoors.”
Issue 01 includes original contributions by Selema Masekela, Mikey February, Alex Strohl, Jeanine Pesce, Brian Chorski, L. Renee Blount, among dozens of other talented writers, photographers, and artists.
“Not only does our style of photography and visual storytelling look incredible in print, but it’s a fun way to thank and celebrate the incredible contributors that have backed and grown alongside Field Mag through the years,” says Hiemstra.
With topics ranging from camping in the Eastern Sierra to surfing in Africa and ultralight hiking, sailing, climbing, and fly fishing, the magazine continues Field Mag’s mission to celebrate beauty, craft, and the human connection to nature.
In tandem with the launch of the print magazine, Field Mag is also unveiling a redesigned website optimized for a more elevated reading experience, intuitive navigation, and deeper archival access—reflecting a decade’s worth of editorial excellence and the brand’s commitment to the future of publishing.
As the lines between lifestyle, outdoor recreation, and design culture continue to blur, Field Mag remains at the forefront—documenting how and why we get outside, and what we bring with us.
Field Mag will host bi-coastal magazine launch events in New York City on June 26 and Portland, Oregon July 11.
