Kline Captures First Win of the Year in the Sea Knit Boat Shoe

(Poulsbo, WA) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Grundéns, producer of the world’s leading fishing apparel and footwear, proudly announces that bass fishing ambassador Todd Kline won the Major League Fishing Toyota Series Western Opener at Lake Havasu. Fifteen fish with a total weight of 60 pounds 14 ounces during the stop propelled Roy to a payday of nearly $30,000.

“Todd’s win at the Toyota Series Wester Opener is a big moment for both him and us,” says Grundéns VP Marketing Ash Williams. “His versatility was on display throughout the tournament as he had to use many tactics to secure the victory. He wore our SeaKnit boat shoe throughout the tournament and this is the third time it has been worn by a Grundéns ambassador to secure an MLF stage win, further demonstrating that it holds up in a variety of the most demanding bass fishing conditions. We remain committed to the bass community and the continued success of our ambassadors exemplifies our prominence in the space.”

Todd Kline started the competition hot, racking up a seven-pound lead going into the final day. However, the fishing was slow for the first couple of hours, prompting Kline to switch from his primary bait, a largemouth-based pattern, to an underspin. This seemed to make the difference as Kline finished the final day with a 15-plus pound bag to secure the win.

The SeaKnit Shoe is a contemporary lace-up sneaker offering anglers superior performance and comfort. Equipped with a 100% nylon seamless knit upper, a PU overlay that provides light water resistance on wet surfaces, a non-marking natural gum rubber outsole with razor-cut siping, a shock-absorbing midsole, and comfort footbed, the Sea Knit was designed from the boat deck up. Now having supported three victorious anglers in their respective MLF Tournaments, the Sea Knit, also worn by Skeet Reese and Bradley Roy in their Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit stage win, is a proven tournament-winning shoe.
