Company unveils new insulated design and expands Journey Series™ with women’s specific pack
Bend, OR (June 19, 2019) – Hydro Flask, an award-winning leader in high-performance, insulated stainless steel flasks and soft good innovations and a Helen of Troy Limited (NASDAQ, NM: HELE) company, is excited to announce the launch of its 14 Liter Down Shift™ Hydration Pack, designed to provide a lower center of gravity and increased stability. Additionally, Hydro Flask grows its Journey Series™ collection with the release of the 16 Liter Women’s Hydration Pack, tailored through the back panel, shoulder straps, and hip belt to fit more comfortably on a woman’s body. Both packs feature Hydro Flask’s innovative Cold Flow™ System technology to keep water chilled for more than 4 hours, delivering hands-free cold hydration for mountain biking and hiking.
The new additions join the 10 L and 20 L Journey Series Hydration Packs released earlier this spring as Hydro Flask’s newest category release to expand its line of innovative, high-performance soft goods.
“Hydro Flask is known for our design solutions that enhance the lives of active, on-the-go consumers,” said Hydro Flask Vice President of Product David Visnack. “We’re excited to introduce two new products that deliver a more specialized hydration experience for mountain bikers and hikers – whether it’s greater freedom of movement or increased comfort – all without stopping or slowing down.”
The 14 L Down Shift and 16 L Journey Series Women’s Hydration Packs feature Hydro Flask’s proprietary Cold Flow™ system, a unique network of insulating technology and design components that work together to keep water cold for more than 4 hours. The insulated HydraPak® IsoBound™ sweat-proof reservoir helps protect water temperature while the neoprene internal sleeve with reflective material guards the reservoir from heat transfer. Advanced construction includes an articulated back panel that maximizes external airflow, avoiding trapped body heat or transfer to the water inside. With an ergonomic design built for comfort, each pack is also puncture, tear and abrasion resistant.
The 14 L Down Shift Hydration Pack features a streamlined design that transfers weight from the shoulders to hips and a 2-liter insulated reservoir positioned in the lumbar region to provide a lower center of gravity and more stable ride. The Cold Flow system keeps cold water cold for more than 4 hours. Lightweight, yet durable fabric ensures a comfortable fit, while the perimeter zipper allows quick access to the interior compartment’s multiple stretch mesh and scratch-resistant pockets that offer smart storage for tools, sunglasses, keys and other essentials. Additional features include the HydraPak® Blaster bite valve and a magnetic hose clip. The 14 L Down Shift Hydration Pack will be available in three colors: Sapphire, Guava and Black. It will retail for a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $135.
