March 24: Biddeford, Maine: Hyperlite Mountain Gear expands managerial team, grabs dynamic Ecommerce & Sales Manager Amy Kading from the fashion world.

Fresh off hiking 850 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail, Amy Kading brings a wealth of merchandising experience and a passion for lightweight philosophies to her new position as sales and ecommerce manager at Hyperlite Mountain Gear.

“We’re thrilled we found Amy,” says CFO Dan St. Pierre. “Not only is does she have ten years’ experience in retail sales and ecommerce, but she’s also a core thru hiker and user of ultralight products. She gets lightweight philosophies.”

Kading graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Fashion Merchandising Management, and made her way up the ranks at the jewelry retailer, Zales, landing a senior position developing new web stores and managing all aspects of online selling. And, she’s always been active in the outdoors.

“It was a serendipitous moment when I found the job at Hyperlite Mountain Gear,” says Kading. “This is such a great opportunity. Hiking the PCT changed my life.
