LifeStraw Gathering Support for the People of Ukraine With Supplies and Funding

The brand seeks to coordinate donations from the outdoor industry

BALTIMORE (Nov 29, 2022)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/LifeStraw, a public health B Corp on a mission to provide equitable access to safe drinking water, is seeking donations of product and funding for the people of Ukraine as winter approaches and conditions worsen. The brand is working with grassroot partners in and near Ukraine including Unlocking Communities to support communities trapped in cities under siege, frontline medical workers, journalists and Ukrainian forces.

LifeStraw is coordinating shipments of product via containers to Ukraine out of its US warehouse, containing water filtration and medical supplies. The brand would like to establish a coalition of outdoor brands and partners to support the cost of delivering the containers and to fulfill vital supply needs through in-kind donations for those in Ukraine.

LifeStraw is calling on other outdoor businesses to join in support by donating these greatly needed supplies. The cutoff date to receive gear is December 9th, 2022. Brands and partners can also make a tax-deductible contribution to support the costs of shipping containers and additional supplies. A GoFundMe has been set up for monetary donations.
