November 9, 2023

New Fixed Blade is Designed Specifically for Whitetail Deer Hunting Pursuits

Frenchtown, MT (November 9, 2023)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Montana Knife Company, the premium, American-made knife brand—founded by Master Bladesmith, Josh Smith—is proud to announce its newest fixed-blade knife model, The Whitetail. Designed and intended specifically for whitetail deer hunting, The Whitetail knife is a versatile blade option that can take on mule deer, elk, mountain sheep, moose, bear, and more.

The Montana Knife Company Whitetail Knife is constructed with MagnaCut Stainless Steel to maximize toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance, while the blade’s ergonomic G-10 handle blends comfort with durability to withstand generations of field abuse. With an overall length of 8-5/8” (4-inch blade) and weight of 4.3oz, The Whitetail is a maneuverable and perfectly balanced tool that is packed with thoughtful design elements. The Whitetail’s traditional drop point shaped blade is ideal for skinning, gutting, de-boning, and overall processing of meat and game. Additionally, the blade features an integrated guard to ensure protection, safety, and control, while textured jimping on the spine of the blade offers added texture to reduce slipping when providing pressure through cuts.

“We’re very proud to deliver The Whitetail knife for all of the dedicated deer hunters and MKC fans across the country,” said Josh Smith, Master Bladesmith, President, and Founder at Montana Knife Company. “Since the beginning of MKC, our customers have asked for a blade that is specific to whitetail deer hunting, and we couldn’t be more excited to debut this blade. The Whitetail has quickly become a favorite among MKC employees and friends of the brand. We’re confident that The Whitetail blade will make memories in the field for many years to come.”

Each Whitetail Knife is and paired with Montana Knife Company’s Signature Knife Sheath 2.0, which features a modular clip design and can be rotated 90 degrees allowing for a comfortable external carry. Additionally, the sheath features a tension screw for users to adjust the protective tension to their preference. Three holes on the top and bottom of the sheath allow users to tie paracord to attach to a pack or add aftermarket clips for a desired carry. A hole in the tip of the sheath allows for moisture to drain, making the blade easy to clean.
