Mountainsmith Expands with Three New Hires

June 15, 2022

Golden, CO (June 2022) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Mountainsmith, the Colorado-based company that has spent more than 40 years as a leading gear manufacturer specializing in durable goods for hiking and camping, announced today that it has named three new members to their growing team. As the company gears up for summer with the launch of new lumbar and updated backpacks they will have Kipp Godfrey joining on as a Sales and Service Representative, Lora Buboltz as Ecommerce Marketplace Manager, and Nirveek Shah as Graphic designer.

Godfrey has been working in the outdoor industry for over eight years, specifically cutting his teeth in the fly fishing world by working in various shops around Central Oregon. Prior to the recent move to the front range at Mountainsmith, Godfrey was the Operations Manager at Rainy Pass Repair in Seattle, Washington, where he handled customer service, and managed communication with corporate warranty partners. These partners included Sitka, Mammut, First Lite, Norrona and more, giving him plenty of experience moving into his new role where he will focus on fulfilling drop ship and direct consumer orders, warranty assessment and processing, and general customer inquiries.

“I’m excited to be a part of a team who is passionate about outdoor spaces and making durable gear fit for any pursuit,” said Godfrey. “That passion means organic interest in building things well and keeping that gear in people’s hands longer, so I’m excited to see how that continues to translate into product development in the years to come!”

Mountainsmith, a storied company that has seen many miles in the mountains, is ready to re-stake their claim in the world of outdoor packs, especially when it comes to their innovative lumbar packs; both aesthetically and functionally.

Nirveek Shah, the newly appointed graphic designer, will play a big role when it comes to helping the company reach new heights on the aesthetic side of things. Shah has worked in Nepal at a men’s lifestyle magazine, and also as the branding and marketing lead at an NGO in New York City. In his previous role he’s worked with photographers, stylists, and writers from all parts of the world, which will allow him to bring a creative and innovative perspective for Mountainsmith in their upcoming projects.

“Being Nepali, I think I have something in my DNA that has a calling towards the mountains,” Shah said. “I look forward to showing it off aesthetically with a platform like Mountainsmith is an exciting endeavor.”

Lora Buboltz will be taking the role as Ecommerce Marketplace Manager, and comes to Mountainsmith with over 10 years of experience in the outdoor industry. Her background is focused in operations, key account management, and eCommerce experience. She has worked with companies such as Vail Resorts, The Boppy Company, and most recently b4Adventure. During this time Lora has spearheaded operations for growing manufacturers while also providing support to high-revenue key accounts; such as being the single-point of contact for a multi-million dollar amazon account. In her new role Lora will primarily be tasked with growing Mountainsmith’s online sales through omni-channel strategies while also being responsible for data analytics, marketing, order processing, and optimization of product portfolios on ecommerce platforms.

As a snowboarder, hiker, yogi, and avid outdoorswomen, Buboltz brings a plethora of experience as well as plenty of passion for her work to Mountainsmith.

“I am excited to be a part of the Mountainsmith team because of the great people, amazing products and shared passion of the outdoors,” said Buboltz. “I am also excited to see what the future holds within this incredible company.”
