July 27, 2018

New teapot is engineered for simplicity and durability

SEATTLE, Wash. (July 27, 2018) — Seattle-based Mountain Safety Research® (MSR®), introduces the Pika 1 L Teapot, an ultralight, compact, hard-anodized aluminum teapot for backcountry adventures. Designed with a strong, precise pour, the teapot provides a simple, reliable solution for jump-starting the day with hot water for tea or coffee, or for warming up on cold nights with a toasty beverage.

“Coffee and tea preparation can be a very personal routine with many different ways to brew the perfect cup,” says Own Mesdag, water category manager at MSR. “One thing all morning routines include, however, is the need for hot water and a precise way to pour it. The Pika Teapot was engineered in such a way that it is a perfect addition to your camp.”

Weighing in at just 142 g (5 oz), the Pika 1 L Teapot is ideal for backcountry travelers seeking an ideal dedicated solution for tea and coffee. The ultra-compact teapot has space to stow the MSR PocketRocket 2 stove with its case or the new PocketRocket Deluxe stove, as well as additional small supplies such as a lighter, coffee, or tea. A secure-fit lid ensures safety when pouring hot beverages, and the teapot’s small spout delivers a robust pour with accuracy and control. MSRP: $24.95
