National Bicycle Dealer Association Activates Endorsement of The Big Gear Show to Support Challenges IBDs Continue to Face in 2021

March 5, 2021

PARK CITY, UT (MARCH 5, 2021) – The National Bicycle Dealer Association (NBDA), the bicycle industry’s best-in-class provider of retailer-specific education and business growth resources, is issuing a call to action for IBDs to inform the organization’s Super Seminars and peer-to-peer networking opportunities in partnership with The Big Gear Show.

As she onboards into her role as President of the NBDA, Heather Mason is accelerating activation of the association’s partnership with The Big Gear Show, North America’s first ever open-air trade fair, expo and demo, taking place August 3-5, 2021 in Park City, Utah. The NBDA and The Big Gear Show share a stalwart commitment to support IBDs with the most relevant resources, a modernized buy-sell experience, and productive peer networking within cycling and also, with other outdoor retailers and brands attending and exhibiting at The Big Gear Show.

The bike business continues to evolve, Mason said, and while that’s challenging for IBDs, it’s also an incredibly opportune time.

“With the continued change in consumer behavior and mounting supply chain issues the bike industry continues to navigate, the NBDA is more committed than ever to upleveling how we resource our members – our goal is to give our members exactly what they need to harness the opportunity during this great growth acceleration in cycling,” Mason said.

“We’re actively encouraging our IBD membership to share their wish list of topics, resources and learning opportunities with us so that we can invest in creating best-in-class trainings and networking opportunities at The Big Gear Show that will build success and bottom-line growth in 2021 and beyond, she added.”

Mason invites IBDs to vote for their favorite topic on NBDA’s website.

Mason is updating NBDA’s strategic plan due to the rapidly-changing needs of its membership base. Focal topics of the strategic plan will be reflected in the Super Seminars and networking opportunities with The Big Gear Show.

“We know that IBDs and bike brands alike are working harder than ever to manage and grow their businesses right now, and we’re so excited to partner with Heather and the NBDA team to provide the bike community access to resources and a growing peer network in our upcoming show programming,” said Lance Camisasca, Bike Show Director for the Big Gear Show.
