July 25, 2017

The multi-beam headlamp weighs just 35 gram

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (July 24, 2017) – Petzl, the leader in lighting and verticality products, today unveiled the BINDI: a compact and ultra-lightweight headlamp for everyone from runners and hikers to sailors and urban adventurers.

“The excitement around the new BINDI is focused on its versatility. Use it in town or on the trail, on your head or around your neck, in dry or wet environments,” said Ben Eaton, marketing manager for Petzl. “With the BINDI, there is no need to go without a headlamp, no matter where you are.”

The BINDI headlamp weighs 35 grams and fits in the palm of your hand. With 200 lumens of power, it is ideal for everyday activities and for regular training in the city or in the mountains. Bring it to sea thanks to the headlamp’s waterproof casing that’s waterproof to -1 meter for 30 minutes.

Three lighting modes add versatility while red lighting preserves night vision and keeps you from blinding others during group activities. A lock feature protects battery life by keeping the headlamp securely off while in storage. The thin and quickly adjustable headband makes it easy to also wear around the neck.

The headlamp recharges via micro USB port, allowing you to charge on the go with a 680 mAh rechargeable battery.

The BINDI costs $59.95 USD and will be available in January 2018. For more information, please visit www.petzl.com.
