Rain, Mud, and Rough Roads: Goal Zero’s New Yeti 1500 6G Delivers Off-Grid Reliability
March 11, 2026
Made for life outside, Goal Zero's newest power station delivers upgraded power and fast recharging in an ultra-rugged design.
BLUFFDALE, Utah (March 11, 2026) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ — Goal Zero, a leader in portable energy solutions for outdoor, off-grid, and emergency applications, today announced the release of the newly re-engineered Yeti 1500 6th Gen Model, the latest midsize addition to the company’s flagship Yeti power station lineup. Designed for people who need reliable electric power in the outdoors, off-road, and in emergency situations, the new Yeti 1500 raises the bar for portable power by prioritizing physical durability, reliability in outdoor conditions, and rapid AC and solar recharge.
The new Yeti 1500 is built to operate where other power stations fail. The Yeti 1500 is rated IPX4 for weather resistance against rain and splashes, and protective port covers shield dust and debris in the field. The Yeti 1500’s internal components are vibration-tested to withstand miles of washboard roads and engineered to maintain reliable discharge performance in extreme temperatures (-4 to 140 F). And, true to the Yeti brand, the unit is housed in a durable aluminum enclosure to protect from hard knocks, affirming its promise of being gear you can actually treat like gear.
“We’ve been designing off-grid power solutions for over a decade and durability, charge speed, and longevity have really emerged as the ultimate feature trifecta,” says Robbie Kerback, Goal Zero Category Director of Power Systems, “we’re proud to launch this latest generation that delivers a best-in-class experience whether you’re outside enjoying nature or dealing with a serious power outage.”
The Yeti 1500 6G delivers 2,000 watts of continuous power and 3,600 watts of surge capacity, enabling it to run high-draw tools and appliances simultaneously. Using new Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cell chemistry, the Yeti 1500 rapidly charges from 0% to 80% in under 1 hour via AC power. For off-grid refills, the unit supports up to 900 Watts of solar input, allowing it to be recharged in less than 2 hours.
The Yeti 1500 6G delivers exceptional long-term performance; the updated LiFePO4 battery extends the hardware’s functional life to approximately a decade of daily use. Rated for 4,000 charge cycles, the Yeti 1500 6G is designed for long-term ownership and a dependable power source for years to come.
The Goal Zero Yeti 1500 6G ($1,499.95) is available at goalzero.com and authorized retailers.
