The legends who built the very first rock climbing apparel brand are back at it
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (August 14, 2017) — In 1968, legendary Sierra Nevada climbers Royal and Liz Robbins introduced the world’s first climbing-specific apparel brand, Royal Robbins, to North American climbers. Today, the brand is back at it with a durable, fashion-forward apparel line for urban climbers called ROYAL.

ROYAL comprises six women’s and seven men’s styles. All items are embedded with key performance features like breathability, durability and uncompromising stretch.
Royal Robbins designed each product with the athletic climber’s body in mind. The team considered every detail down to the pocket placements and the fabric selections. The harness-approved pant collection features easily accessible pockets, even while wearing a harness. Each pant and short features a “Crack Protection” waistband – a higher back so you can concentrate on the next hold, not what’s behind you.
