Longtime brand employee to direct overall sales strategy, business development.
BOULDER, Colo. (Dec. 20, 2016) – SCARPA North America promoted Mark Mathews, a nine-year veteran of its sales and product development team, to VP of Sales.
In his new position, Mathews will direct all sales strategy for SCARPA in North America, and focus more on business development and overall brand direction. He assumes the job effective immediately.
“With SCARPA’s continuing growth the last few years, it was clear that we needed a strategic thinker in this role who could really lead with a strong sales vision for North America, but we also needed someone who had a deep understanding of who SCARPA is globally,” said Kim Miller, CEO of SCARPA North America. “There’s no better person for that role than Mark. He’s got the track record in sales management, with SCARPA, and in the footwear category. This promotion helps position SNA well for continued growth in the U.S. and Canada.”
Over the last nine years, Mathews has served as director of sales, and helped direct the development of SCARPA summer product lines, including hiking, running and approach footwear.
