December 3, 2015

Terra Bella, CA (December 2, 2015)- Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc.- the nation’s second largest pistachio grower and processor and maker of Setton Farms Pistachio Chewy Bites based in California’s Central Valley- announced that vegan chef ambassadors Heather Bell and Jenny Engel of Spork Foods have teamed up with the chefs of Thug Kitchen for an epic Holiday Party Foods cooking class. The gathering will take place at the Spork Foods cooking school in West Hollywood on Saturday, December 19th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Thug Kitchen, notorious for “verbally abusing everyone into a healthier diet” and promoting the convenience of healthy foods for all income levels, facilitates healthier eating options by posting vegan recipes for their followers on a bi-weekly basis. The duo won Saveur’s Best New Food Blog for 2013 award, and their self titled book Thug Kitchen became a #1 New York Times Bestseller.

“We are so excited to team up with Thug Kitchen!” said Spork Foods Co-Founder Heather Bell. “The attitude and enthusiasm they put into each project is inspiring and fun. Thug Kitchen is unapologetically passionate about our shared cause, and it is refreshing to collaborate with colleagues taking such a unique approach to spreading the word about vegan foods.”

In addition to learning new recipes to jazz up this season’s holiday parties, each guest will receive Setton Farms Pistachio Chewy Bites and a signed copy of Thug Kitchen’s new cookbook, Thug Kitchen: Party Grub! Attendees will learn the recipes behind Thug Kitchen’s Butternut Squash Queso Dip, Landlocked Ceviche with Tortilla Chips, Mini SoCal Carrot Dogs with assorted toppings, and a Spork Foods’ Sparkling Sangria.
