Sherpa Adventure Gear Launches New Adventure-Ready Yatra Pack Collection
August 1, 2018
For every Yatra Pack sold Sherpa Adventure Gear is donating a children’s book to students in Nepal.
MODESTO, CA — August 1, 2018 — Inspired by the ‘yatra,’ the Nepali word for ‘journey,’ Sherpa Adventure Gear released its new multi-functional backpack line, the Yatra (ya•tra) Pack Collection, consisting of four high-quality CORDURA® made packs, fit for every journey — the Yatra Adventure Pack, the Yatra Everyday Pack, the Yatra Travel Kit and the Yatra Tote.
“We designed the Yatra Collection for the urban commuter, the weekend road tripper, the constant globetrotters, the busy college student, and the stylish parent. Performance-driven, sharp-looking, and always with a touch of Himalayan-inspired details and trims, the Yatra Packs will take you from town to trail and back again — wherever your adventures may be,” says Kelsie Costa, Sherpa Adventure Gear president. “Although a pack line is new for Sherpa, our team of designers have vast experience with the category and understand quality materials and construction of packs. We are excited to bring these versatile packs to Sherpa Adventure Gear.”
To celebrate the release of the new Yatra Pack Collection, for every pack sold this fall, Sherpa is donating a children’s book, in the local language, to a student in Nepal — continuously committed to guiding Nepali children through education and empowerment.
“Our partners in distributing these books to Nepali children, Room to Read, note that 250 million children around the world are still not learning basics like reading and writing – relegating them to a lifetime of limited opportunities and unfulfilled dreams,” says Tsedo Sherpa-Endalino, Sherpa Adventure Gear COO. “In Nepal particularly, many children grow up in remote mountain villages, deprived of basic education. Providing more opportunities like these for strengthened literacy in Nepal continues to align with our mission to help the next generation of this incredible country find their way to a brighter future.”
The One Thing You’ve Got to Know About Each of These Packs?
Yatra Adventure Pack: The roll top closure is the perfect for size adaptability — carrying all your groceries back from the store on your bike, including that chilled bottle of rose in the water bottle holder.
Yatra Everyday Pack: Fits a 15” Mac notebook in the laptop sleeve, without feeling too big or bulky — a nice and subtle pack for your daily office commute and happy hours on the brewery patio next door.
Yatra Travel Kit: Includes a double zipper opening and external pocket, for easy access to essentials — because no one wants to be caught in the dark, fumbling for their toothbrush, after a long drive to that prime camp spot.
Yatra Tote: Solid CORDURA® fabric, a DWR finish and a removable shoulder strap makes it versatile and just the right size for toting those tomatoes and greens back from the farmers’ market this weekend.
