Sisu Magazine Launch Targets Broader Outdoor Audience

January 17, 2019

DENVER, Colo. (January 17, 2019)Coalition Snow will celebrate the release of its first magazine, Sisu, with a launch party in Denver that’s free and open to the public on January 29, 2019.

The new quarterly magazine examines the lives of the women, people of color, trans/femme/binary/genderqueer, and men who have been charging through life, challenging the status quo, and passionately spreading their love of adventure and the outdoors to others.

Sisu is a Finnish word that embodies the spirit of perseverance, grit and guts. It’s what defines our experiences in the outside world. The magazine is for anyone and everyone who shares a love of adventure.

“My vision is to cultivate a sense of place in the outdoors where people feel welcome and inspired through compelling writing and stunning photography and art,” said Jennifer Gurecki, CEO of Coalition Snow and Editor in Chief of Sisu Magazine.

The launch event will take place on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at 10 Barrel Brewery in Denver. The impressive list of guest speakers at the event includes: Luis Benitez, Director of Colorado’s Outdoor Recreation Industry Office, Deanne Buck, Executive Director of Camber Outdoors, and Chuck Sullivan, co-founder of Something Independent, all of whom will address how Sisu contributes to the growing outdoor recreation economy in Colorado and the importance of supporting founders in the outdoor industry.

At the event, Coalition Snow will have its 2019/2020 collection of skis and snowboards on display and raffle off a pair of skis or a snowboard at the end of the evening. LVDY will provide live music.

The Sisu Magazine launch party is free and open to the public, however registration is required due to limited space. For additional details and to register for the event, please visit: weddingregistryforsingles.com. To learn more about Sisu, visit: sisumagazine.com.
