Snow Peak Opens Highly Anticipated Seattle Store and Community Hub within Fremont Collective

PORTLAND, OR (April 30, 2026) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Snow Peak, the renowned Japanese outdoor lifestyle brand, with a 68-year legacy, today announced the grand opening of its 4th North American retail location, in Seattle’s vibrant Fremont neighborhood. Located in the CornerStone Campus at 3524 Stone Way, the store is the brand’s first new retail store since the opening of its Soho location (now relocated to Brooklyn) in 2014. Snow Peak Seattle offers guests an immersive environment to explore Snow Peak’s carefully curated collection of camping equipment, outdoor living essentials, and lifestyle apparel. In addition to product displays, the space will host gear demonstrations, community gatherings, and outdoor education events.

Blending functionality with elegance, Snow Peak’s Seattle retail concept embraces noasobi—the art of being outside—as a way to foster deeper connections to nature and one another. The store continues the evolution of the brand’s design language that was first established in Portland and further explored in Brooklyn. For Seattle, the brand focused on creating a calm, elemental space grounded in the Pacific Northwest, designed to feel minimal and refined while remaining warm and inviting. A simple palette of timber, concrete, and muted tones creates a natural foundation that feels both modern and timeless.

The 3,700-square-foot space, inclusive of a 500-square-foot patio, is located within the CornerStone Campus and developed in collaboration with evolution Projects, the real estate firm co-founded by Bryce Phillips, founder of outdoor retailer evo. The location reflects a broader vision of creating community-driven hubs where retail, outdoor recreation, and culture intersect—serving both existing campus visitors and those newly discovering the outdoors.

Snow Peak will host its grand opening on May 8th, with festivities continuing through May 9th, featuring food and beverages from local partners, limited welcome gifts, in-store promotions, and product demonstrations. Customers will have the opportunity to chat with retail staff as well as team members visiting from the brand’s Portland HQ.
