October 23, 2017

LYNNWOOD, Wash. – Do you have a camper, hunter, hiker or general outdoor lover on your gift list for the approaching holiday season? SOG Knives & Tools rolls out three new items for 2017 that adventurers are sure to covet.

SOG’s Field Knife, Camp Axe and Flint are all affordable tools designed to make days and nights spent afield easier and more enjoyable.

The Field Knife ($40) is a do-everything utilitarian blade. It’s a full-tang knife with a easy-to-grip rubber handle that will tackle a wide range of outdoor activities from cleaning the day’s bounty to helping out in the kitchen.

The Camp Axe ($54) is a compact axe designed for chopping and hammering. It’s the perfect lightweight companion for any outdoor experience, adept at making kindling and pounding in tent stakes.

SOG’s new Flint ($20) rounds out the collection. Packing a number of survival and defensive features, the Flint comes with a safety whistle, a fire starter, a steel wool tinder compartment and carbide glass breaker.

“As an outdoorsy guy myself, I appreciate how versatile these items are,” said Chris Cashbaugh, SOG’s senior director of marketing. “I also like to point out that all three of our new outdoor items fit easily inside any of the six backpacks that we introduced last year.”
