SOG’s new PowerPint and PowerLitre multi-tools deliver big performance

August 28, 2018

Good things come in little packages

LYNNWOOD, Wash. – SOG Knives & Tools adds to its history of multi-tool innovation with the introduction of two new, smaller, lightweight multi-tools designed to tackle the everyday adventures that life delivers.

SOG’s just-released PowerPint and PowerLitre are smaller versions of their full-bodied brethren – lighter and more compact – but both pack an abundance of tools and practicality into their compact frames. Both have SOG’s patented Compound Leverage in the plier heads which make for superior gripping power, fast draw and easy one-hand opening and closing.

Here’s a deeper look into SOG’s new pocket-sized all-stars.

PowerPint
Weighing in at 4.2 ounces, the stainless steel PowerPint features 18 tools, including scissors, pliers, screwdrivers, a straight-edge knife blade and pliers. It even sports a magnetic hex bit holder.

Early media reception of the PowerPint has been strong, with the little tool winning big praise from the likes of Everyday Carry (“It’s one of the rare multi-tools sized just right to bridge the gap between keychain and belt sheath duty.”) and Gear Junkie (“This lightweight punches above its 4.2-ounce weight.”).

The PowerPint has an MSRP of $54.

PowerLitre
The PowerLitre packs 17 tools into its 4.6-ounce package, including an oft-requested corkscrew. There is a knife, an awl, scissors, a can opener, a bottle opener and more.

“The PowerLitre hits a sweet spot in the multi-tool market,” said Jonathan Wegner, Vice President of Marketing at SOG. “It’s small enough to go with you just about anywhere, but it delivers all the functionality of a larger tool.”

The PowerLitre has an MSRP of $67.

Both the PowerPint and PowerLitre can be found at REI, Academy, Sportsman’s Warehouse and other SOG retailers around the country, or at SOGKnives.com.
