Norwegian Industry Leaders Partner With Iconic North American Resort

(BOULDER, CO – DECEMBER 2021) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Sweet Protection, the industry leader in high-performance helmets, goggles, and technical clothing announced today that it has been named the official helmet and eyewear partner for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the iconic Rocky Mountain resort that has served as a premier North American mountain destination for nearly 60 years.

The announcement marks the first such partnership with a North American resort for Sweet Protection, the multi-award-winning premium Norwegian outdoor brand which has long boasted deep roots in the mountain safety industry and a reputation as a leader in technical innovation. The multi-year partnership covers the fall/winter 2021-22 season and will run until October 2023.

Sweet Protection’s relationship with Jackson Hole Mountain Resort began in 2019 when it served as the presenting sponsor of the resort’s celebrated annual Kings & Queens of Corbett’s competition, when elite athletes from around the world attempt airborne tricks into the resort’s iconic couloir. Sweet Protection will serve as the event’s presenting sponsor again when Kings and Queens returns Feb. 11-18, 2022.

“I’m extremely happy to sign this partnership. The North American markets are important to us, and this partnership is part of a bigger plan for the future,” said Atle Enberget, Director of Sales and Marketing for Sweet Protection. “Jackson Hole is one of the greatest ski/snowboard resorts in the world, and the combination of ideal weather conditions and the resort’s incredible on-mountain staff gives us a tremendous opportunity to test the products we’ve been developing and perfecting for years. From Trysil, Norway to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, I’m excited to build on this partnership in the years to come.”

Founded in 1965 and located in Wyoming’s Teton Range of the Rocky Mountains, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is widely considered one of the top mountain resorts in North America. It offers roughly 5,500 acres of combined inbounds and backcountry ski areas and is perhaps best known for its steep terrain and large continuous vertical drop of 4,139 feet.

“Innovation and protection are core to JHMR, Says Jess McMillan, Senior Events and Partnership Manager. “The new partnership with Sweet Protection represents both opportunities as we recognize the potential to collaborate on innovative protective products for staff, resort guests while offering solutions for future innovations at North America’s biggest mountain testing grounds.”
