April 13, 2017

Sweet Protection launches the limited edition Strutter LE helmet to celebrate anniversary

Trysil, Norway – The Norwegian-based Sweet Protection, designers of cutting edge whitewater, snowsports, and mountain bike helmets and apparel, is proud to announce the 2017 launch of a limited edition (LE) version of the world’s most recognized paddlesports helmet, the Strutter.

First designed and developed by company co-founder Ståle Møller in his garage in 1997, the technologies and materials of this award-winning design have evolved, but the geometry and iconic shape have never changed. The Strutter is, and always will be, recognized as a crowd favorite that has proudly been worn for decades by professional and beginner paddlers across the globe. The baseball hat inspired brim, low profile size, updated Occi-grip tensioning system and EVA liner offer impressive protection for big water and play boating.

“This is the helmet that launched our brand. As the Strutter turns 20, so does Sweet Protection,” Christian Erga, Head of Marketing with Sweet Protection. “The Strutter is loved around the world and I don’t think there is a better way to celebrate than with a commemorative, limited edition version of the helmet that started it all.”

The LE version, available now, will be hand painted and sport graphics referencing the product anniversary. Priced at $249, the LE version will be available in 2 colors, including a Navy Blue Metallic and a Peal White Metallic.
