SWIX Debuts Triac 4.0 — The World’s Most Advanced Ski Pole

October 13, 2020

HAVERHILL, N.h. — Available in ski shops Fall 2020 athletes will be able to purchase the brand new SWIX Triac 4.0 Aero — the most recent evolution in Nordic racing poles. The pole features a stiffness rating of 21 millimeters and has a shaft weight of 56 grams per meter. A complete 155cm pole, including grip and basket, weights only 136 grams.

The Swix Triac 4.0 Aero comes with a patented TBS interchangeable basket system (TRIAC BASKET SYSTEM) with five different basket options for all snow conditions. In addition, the Aero has an interchangeable custom TCS strap system (Triac Connection System), offering 5 strap options. “No other ski pole in the world has customization of the Triac 4.0 Aero,” says Steven Poulin, President of Swix USA.

The result of continuous research, analysis, and testing, the Triac 4.0 Aero has a new triangular cross section that reduces wind drag by 20% during wind tunnel testing, compared to poles with a cylindrical cross section. While the pole is lighter and stiffer than earlier Triac models it is also stronger, due to an improved laminating process and Swix’s unique IMP (Internal Pressure Molding) manufacturing technology.

The Triac 4.0 Aero will retail for $539.99 and will be available for consumer purchase Fall 2020. Available lengths range from 135cm to 180cm in 2.5cm intervals. For more information visit Swixsport.com/us, or contact Danny Kuzio at dk@pressforwardpr.com.
