Trigger-Action Travel Mugs: PMI’s Stanley Brand Keeps Coffee Hot in the Most Durable Travel Mug Yet

November 27, 2018

Category innovator and leader continues global growth with new products and updated brand look

SEATTLE, WA (November 27, 2018) – The toughest travel mug collection is ready for gifting for Fall 2019. Brought to you by PMI’s Stanley brand, the inventor of double wall steel vacuum insulation, the new Master Series Trigger-Action Mugs (16- and 20-oz; MSRP $50 and $55) feature Stanley’s QuadVac™ insulation technology. With features like thicker stainless steel, leak-proof Tritan™ trigger-action lids, and reinforced steel grit guards and handles, the new mugs keep coffee hot for 7 to 9 hours. Joining the Trigger-Action Mugs for fall 2019, Stanley is also adding a new 17-oz Food Jar (MSRP $60) to the Master Series arsenal.

After 105 years of consistently setting and resetting the thermal and durability benchmarks for an entire industry, Stanley’s QuadVac™ technology, introduced in spring 2017, once again raised the bar for thermal retention. To match the QuadVac™ thermal performance featured inside the vessels, the Master Series collection was built tough enough to change what it means to be a true innovator in durable goods. With roots in military and trade applications, the Master Series is Stanley’s most rugged collection.

Stanley is a brand that takes keeping coffee hot as seriously they do durability and this season, they wanted to make sure that consumers could learn about the new Master Series Trigger-Action Mug benefits as easily as possible. Beginning this year consumers will see a brand refresh with all new packaging – along with the old, new mythical bear logo – on shelves and online at their favorite retailers.

Eric Shear, Global Vice President of PMI’s Stanley brand explains, “The Master Series goes all out to meet the challenges posed by our hardest-core users. The new mugs are crazy. People who want and need more will love them. We’re rebranding because the bond created when you raise the bar needs to come through in our logo, our packaging and every other touch point – Stanley is not just utilitarian. It’s a real honor to carry forward the legacy of this great brand, and we take changes very seriously. We did our homework and we know people are going to get it.”

Stanley’s new 2019 product offering and entire collection will be on display at the Outdoor Retailer Snow Show in Denver, January 30 – February 1, 2019 (booth# 42096).
