VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Dec. 17, 2019) – Closing out the year with a mission to get more people on bikes in 2020, velofix, the leading Mobile Bike Shop operator in North America, has released its first wave of corporately-owned Mobile Bike Shops, now servicing Austin and Houston, Texas; Tampa, Florida; San Jose, Calif.; Raleigh, N.C.; and Vancouver, British Columbia.

This expansion is part of velofix’s growth strategy comprised of a growing family of franchise partners and corporate-owned Mobile Bike Shops. Currently, the company operates in 115 territories and moving into 2020 they will announce another fleet of corporate-owned Mobile Bike Shops, increasing its presence in existing territories and expanding into new markets.

“2019 has been a very successful year for us as we have grown our head office support teams in Vancouver and Austin, launched more franchise partners and rolled out multiple corporate Mobile Bike Shops,” said Chris Guillemet, CEO and Co-Founder of velofix. “The opportunity to put more Mobile Bike Shops on the road in 2020 is reflective of the appetite we believe riders have for our services.”

velofix is looking to hire 40 Rider Support Technicians for its corporate Mobile Bike Shops in 2020. About velofix:

velofix was launched in 2013 by Chris Guillemet, Boris Martin, and Davide Xausa, who all share a passion for cycling and the common belief that bicycles can help change the world. The brand’s core mission is to get more people on bikes and solve problems standing in the way of this goal.  Today, velofix is the largest fleet of Mobile Bike Shops in North America with plans to double in size over the next 18 months. Six years ago, the focal issue being tackled was saving time for busy cyclists by bringing the bike shop experience to a rider’s front door. Today, saving time remains a core tenant to the brand’s promise while velofix grows and partners with like-minded members of the community who also see riding bikes as a solution to today’s societal trends and future obstacles.
