DURANGO, Colo. (September 15, 2020) – Verde Brand Communications, a full-service communications agency serving the specialty active lifestyle markets, opens registration today for the second cohort of its online marketing training, the Multi-Channel Marketing Academy.
Specialty brand and business leaders, retailers and entrepreneurs are invited to enroll today through September 25, 2020. Instruction, workshops and networking begin on Sept. 28, and the course wraps just before Thanksgiving break. The time frame enables graduates to leave for the holidays with a plan in place for the start of 2021, a greatly expanded peer network, and a renewed sense of confidence in being the dedicated advocate for the consumer within their specialty brands.
“Strategic planning and budgeting for 2021 is like the wild wild west right now,” said Kristin Carpenter, founder of Verde Brand Communications, the Channel Mastery podcast and Multi-Channel Marketing Academy. “The Academy will serve as both a guide and a peer community for brand leaders committed to modernizing their channel, messaging and go-to-consumer launch strategies to successfully reach, engage and convert today’s evolving consumer.”
The timing of the second cohort could not be more important.
Consumers discover, engage with and buy online today and that trend is not going away any time soon. The online shopper is already experiencing an overwhelming amount of noise and promotions online, and trust and loyalty is up for grabs as e-commerce continues to surge. The Multi-Channel Marketing Academy teaches specialty brand leaders to harness the massive opportunities tied to the unprecedented consumer and market changes.
Students will learn multi-channel marketing strategies that will power their brands to rise above the deafening noise online today by building and activating an audience of “lifers.” The curriculum is custom tailored for specialty businesses and includes:
- Budget planning approaches for 2021
- Consumer behavior trend reports
- Channel analysis and best practices
- Channel-specific digital marketing tactics
- COVID-19 communications best practices
- Corporate social responsibility and brand social impact
- Getting rid of sales and marketing silos within the specialty organization
The first cohort, which launched this spring, had internal brand leaders from companies including: SCARPA, Faction Skis, Fischer Sports, Seirus, Wintersteiger, rep groups, and retailers like Durango Outdoor Gear Exchange, the Bicycle Sport Shop in Austin, Aspen Skiing Company and many more. The Academy’s first cohort included 40 specialty leaders who obtained a newfound sense of confidence in how to modernize in the face of change.
“We’ve all seen the growing impact that social media, internet sales and D2C sales have had on our industry. Kristin takes the mystery of how all this is interrelated and has packaged it into an easy to understand course that will enable you to create a blueprint that’s unique to your brand or service and design a true omnichannel strategy that will propel your business into the future,” Mike Hattrup, U.S. Alpine Product Manager and Content Director for Fischer Sports.
The Academy is the only resource of its kind, created specifically for specialty brand leaders committed to building sustainable, consumer-centric businesses. It teaches a proven framework that will support a continually nimble approach to serving a brand’s target shopper, a target that will continue to rapidly evolve.
The course, led by Kristin Carpenter, is informed by Verde’s 20+ years of experience in communications and marketing for specialty brands.
“We’re committed to empowering specialty marketers to be the engine of change for their brands – driving the organization to be as consumer-centric as possible – which is critical right now,” said Carpenter.
Whether you are a seasoned marketing professional looking to up-level your multi-channel strategy, a business leader looking to rethink your strategy in light of recent changes, or a startup working to create and execute marketing that will put you on the map, this course will give you new skills and strategies to grow and engage your community across the most relevant channels for your brand.
