Long Creek, SC – October 23, 2019 – Family-owned and operated outfitter Wildwater is excited to announce the opening of new mountain cabins and a birdhouse-inspired treehouse at their Chattooga River location. The new on-site housing provides guests a place to stay after enjoying a day on the Chattooga or adventuring through the treetops on Wildwater’s ziplining and ropes courses. Located less than two hours from Atlanta, Greenville, Asheville, and Spartanburg, Wildwater’s Chattooga location offers an idyllic mountain getaway that the whole family will enjoy.

Named after iconic rapids on the Chattooga river, the Bull Sluice, Woodall Shoals, Painted Rock and Eight-Ball cabins can sleep up to six people, with two comfortable bedrooms and two baths. Each luxury cabin includes amenities such as a furnished kitchen, flat-screen TV and beautiful outdoor seating where guests can relax in nature. The Goldfinch treehouse is a cozy one-bedroom, one-bath space that includes a kitchenette and a private outdoor deck for guests to enjoy after a day packed with adventure.

“As the first river to be designated Wild and Scenic in the south, the Chattooga has much to offer anyone who visits it,” says Trey Barnett, Regional Marketing Director with Wildwater. “We are proud to be the only whitewater rafting service in the area that provides on-site lodging for guests, and our newest accommodations let you experience all the Chattooga has to offer without sacrificing the comforts of home.”
