Xtracycle Launches The Ultimate Mid-tail Adventure Cargo Bike

MILL VALLEY, CA (April 20, 2026) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Xtracycle, the pioneering force in cargo bikes for more than 25 years, unveils the OmniTierra touring cargo bike, designed in partnership with renowned adventure cyclist and OmniTierra Bikepacking founder, John Freeman, and his canine co-pilot Mira.

In 2024, with over 120,000 km ridden through 15 countries, Freeman approached Xtracycle to produce the ideal, purpose-engineered cargo bicycle to traverse some of the world’s most epic terrain.

After rounds of design and thousands of km of real-world testing, the Xtracycle OmniTierra is ready for the long haul. The mid-tail cargo touring bike features a low maintenance Gates Belt Drive with a Pinion gearbox, custom rear rack with a variety of frame mounting points, and multi-wheel compatibility with up to four inches of tire clearance. All built on a titanium frame, delivering cargo capability, ride quality, and durability for the rider ready to go the distance.
