All of these activities will be located at the plaza at the intersection of Beach 94th Street and Shore Front Parkway.

All supplies for the cleanup will be provided to participants by 4ocean.

4ocean will also be participating in all UN World Oceans Day events, including a conference on Friday, June 7, at the UN General Assembly Hall and a gathering on Saturday, June 8, on the Peace Boat, an international nonprofit organization that promotes peace, human rights, sustainable development and respect for the environment.

About World Oceans Day

In December 2008, the UN General Assembly designated June 8 as World Oceans Day as a way to celebrate our world’s shared ocean and our personal connection to the sea, as well as to raise awareness about the crucial role the ocean plays in our lives and the important ways people can help protect it.

About 4ocean

4ocean is a global company that actively removes trash from the ocean and coastlines, helps create sustainable economies around the world and inspires individuals to work together for a cleaner ocean. Global cleanup operations are funded entirely through the sale of their bracelets and sustainability products, where every item purchased funds the removal of one pound of trash from the ocean. By creating jobs, utilizing the latest technology and raising awareness about the impact of plastic and trash in the ocean, the company is building the first economy for ocean plastic and creating a cleaner, more sustainable future for the ocean.
