5.11® Donating Proceeds of Defender-Flex Pants and Jeans to Brand Ambassadors’ Supported Charities

August 25, 2017

Irvine, CA (August 25, 2017) – As an extension of the 5.11 Always Be Ready® brand campaign, throughout the months of September and October, 5.11 will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of its recently launched Defender-Flex Pants and Jeans to the Sheepdog Fund, Navy SEAL Foundation, and National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. Each of the charities is supported by 5.11 brand ambassadors Tim Kennedy, Andy Stumpf, and Jolie Macias Gentry (consecutively) and gives back to those who selflessly serve our communities and our country. Each charity will receive up to $20,000 in donations from the campaign.

The 5.11 Always Be Ready® brand campaign centers on people that have the right mindset and training, and need the right gear to succeed in their mission. They are ready to help those in need, ready to protect and serve, and ready to crush goals. 5.11 embodies this mindset of readiness.

“We make purpose-built gear for individuals who must always be ready for every mission, and for any adventure,” said 5.11’s Vice President of Global Marketing, Willem Driessen. “The Defender-Flex product line provides the same level of tactical quality and functionality consumers expect on-duty, but with premium, off-duty wearability.”

Driessen continues, “Tim, Andy, and Jolie have tremendous experience on and off duty wearing 5.11 product. It is important for us to stay true to our heritage by supporting causes that are meaningful to our ambassadors.”
