Big Agnes Builds Upon Award-Winning Sleeping Bag Line with New 3N1 Series

March 29, 2022

Innovative modular design offers more versatility and comfort than ever before

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (March 29, 2022) OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Big Agnes, the Steamboat-Springs-based outdoor equipment brand, today announced the launch of its new 3N1 Sleeping Bag series, the latest leap in the evolution of the brand’s signature sleep system. The 3N1 series offers three sleeping bag configurations in one simple, yet technical system – offering greater versatility and temperature control than ever before.

“This is the only bag you need for three-season camping, backpacking and everything in between,” said Bill Gamber, co-founder and president of Big Agnes. “These ultra-lightweight, down-fill bags deliver comfort and versatility no matter your sleep style or temperature preference. If you camp in more than one season and in more than one spot, you don’t need a quiver of bags, you need a 3N1.”

The Big Agnes 3N1 system consists of two separate sleeping bags, which can be combined to offer a deluxe and roomy, temperature-controlled sleep space for trips with variable conditions. The system’s outer bag features the brand’s signature pad sleeve, and insulates with RDS-certified DownTek™ insulation on top, and plush, soft materials all around. The outer bag additionally features two-way zippers on both sides for venting and easy access from top or bottom, hand-tuck pockets, and a pillow barn to keep users’ pillows tucked in throughout the night. By itself, the outer bag is a packable yet lofty option for warm nights on the trail or the river.

The removable, mummy-style inner bag mimics the brand’s award-winning Sidewinder sleeping bags, designed specifically for side-sleepers and ergonomically contoured to optimize warmth and alleviate pressure points. By itself, the inner bag is ideal for hut trips, couch surfing, and back-of-the-truck adventures. Combined, the bags allow users to easily roll from side-to-side in total comfort, with offset quilted baffles to minimize cold spots. Both bags are insulated with 650 fill DownTek which repels water while maintaining insulating value, with bluesign® certified, PFC-free, water-repellent chemistry.

The 3N1 Series will be offered in the following models and temperature ratings:

  • Lost Ranger 3N1 0 [System: 0°F, Inner: 20°F, Outer: 45°F]
  • Lost Ranger 3N1 15 [System: 15°F, Inner: 35°F, Outer: 50°F]
  • Women’s Roxy Ann 3N1 15 [System: 15°F, Inner: 30°F, Outer: 50°F]

For 20 years, Big Agnes has focused on designing products that make sleeping in the outdoors as comfortable as possible. The Big Agnes Sleep System – the brand’s first product line, released in 2001 – offered a totally unique design at the time, integrating a pad sleeve into sleeping bags, which prevented campers from rolling off their pads and eliminated unnecessary insulation, shedding ounces off traditional designs. Big Agnes has continued to push the boundaries of what’s possible through its innovative sleeping bags, pads, tents, apparel, and, in 2022, backpacks.

The 3N1 Sleeping Bag Series is available now at select retailers and online at www.bigagnes.com.
