Freestyle Skier and Three-Time World Champion Won Silver Medal At Beijing Olympics

Boulder, CO (Sept. 6, 2023)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Cardo Systems, the global leader in state-of-the-art Group Communication devices, announced today that it has signed an athlete sponsorship contract with French freestyle skier and Olympic silver medalist Tess Ledeux, putting one of the biggest names in women’s freestyle skiing under the Cardo Systems banner.

Ledeux, 21, has been a fixture on the international freestyle scene since 2017, and earned the biggest accolade of her career last year, when she won a silver medal in the Big Air competition at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. She also won a gold medal in Big Air at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships in Bakuriani, Georgia earlier this year, her second world championship in Big Air following a finish atop of the podium in 2019. She also won a world championship in Slopestyle in 2017.

Ledeux has also been a dominant force at the Winter X Games over the past six years, racking up a total of eight medals across the Big Air and Slopestyle events, including four golds. At the 2022 X Games in Aspen she became the first woman to land a double cork 1620 in competition on her way to winning gold in both Slopestyle and Big Air. She also won the 2020/21 slopestyle and FIS Freeski overall Crystal Globe.

“I am so happy to join the Cardo team. In addition to being a brand committed to outdoor sports, Cardo’s technology will be able to give me a real advantage during my training,” Ledeux said. “Whether in the winter on skis or in the summer on my bike, Cardo will allow me to communicate easily and spontaneously with my staff in order to receive the best corrections in real time. I am excited to start this new adventure!”

Ledeux’s new sponsorship agreement is another step forward for Cardo Systems, which continues to expand its global footprint as a leader in group communication devices.

“Cardo Systems is committed to supporting female athletes, and we are thrilled to welcome Tess Ledeux to the Cardo Systems family,” said Jess Long, Sales and Business Development Director for Outdoor, North America for Cardo. “She is an incredible athlete with a bright future ahead of her, and we are confident that she will continue to break records and inspire others with her determination and skill.
