Chaco and The Outbound Collective Partner to Share Outdoor and Travel Inspiration

ROCKFORD, Mich. (July 18, 2016) – Today, Chaco announced a strategic partnership and sponsorship agreement with The Outbound Collective, which centers on Chaco’s footwear and branded content.

Chaco joins The Outbound as the exclusive footwear sponsor in the sandal category. The two brands will partner to publish content and storytelling through curated adventures, on-brand activities and a presence within The Outbound platform. The Outbound’s team of Explorers (top local experts) will be outfitted with Chaco sandals as well.

Founded in 2013, The Outbound is a website and iOS app dedicated to helping everyday people discover the best outdoor adventures nearby. Every month, more than 500,000 people rely on the platform to search for local hikes, campsites, after-work runs, waterfalls, swimming holes and the best places to catch a sunset. All content is crowd-sourced from a community of outdoor enthusiasts.

Through the partnership, Chaco and The Outbound will be able to reach a growing millennial market, which increasingly expresses a desire for adventure and travel. Chaco, which receives the majority of its online traffic via mobile smartphones, will also be able to use The Outbound app to reach consumers.
