June 6, 2022

The chromatic collection draws inspiration from nature’s color palette

ROCKFORD, Mich. (June 6, 2022)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Chaco Footwear, the iconic outdoor lifestyle brand, is announcing the launch of the Earth Tones Collection today. With 7 chromatic colorways to represent the ground that we walk on and celebrating the power of earth, this collection encourages adventure for everyone and reimagines and iconic Z/1 Classic sandal in a range of neutral hues.

The collection launches in partnership with Outdoor Afro, a national not-for-profit that celebrates and inspires Black connections and leadership in nature. Chaco has donated $40,000 to the organization, and for the month of June, $5 from every Earth Tone Collection sandal purchase on Chacos.com will be donated to support Outdoor Afro programming.

“Outdoor Afro celebrates connections to the outdoors year-round,” said Founder and CEO Rue Mapp, “Yet we are so delighted to lift up this exciting collaboration right now to help more people find stylish comfort for their pursuits to kick off a summer in nature!”

“Chaco values building a welcoming outdoor community and the joy of adventure for all, and Outdoor Afro’s work inspires us,” said Lauren Poole, Sr. Director of Marketing, Chaco. “The Earth Tones Collection is intended to celebrate not just the destination, but the journey to get there and the power of the places experienced, and memories made on the way.”

Chaco’s Z/1 Classic Sandal is durably constructed out of only 8 component parts and fully repairable, making it a long-term investment and reducing the impact on the earth by reducing waste. Plus, the sandal’s webbings are made with 100% recycled materials from REPREVE.

The collection will be available at Chaco.com and Public Lands stores nationwide. Learn more about the Earth Tones Collection here: chacos.com/earthtones. Visit outdoorafro.org to learn more about Outdoor Afro.
