William Starka, Senior Product Manager Footwear & Equipment SALEWA said, “We designed the Dropline’s sole pack for mountain enthusiasts who want to move longer, quicker and more comfortably in alpine terrain. By comfortably, I mean with minimum impact on muscles and joints. Our newly developed sole pack enables a fast, smooth roll-off during rapid, dynamic hiking and provides good shock absorption – especially on descents – as well as superb directional stability. The outsole is engineered to guide the rolling motion of the foot rolling to ensure maximum power transfer, in order to prevent energy loss. This new, agile speed hiking shoe is lightweight on, and has the just right amount of space for your feet and toes. It’s the ideal solution for speed hikers looking for a cushioning shoe with a protective, precise, wrapping fit for extended tours.”
