From Feast to First Aid, Omeals Continues to Innovate Outdoor Food Category in 2017

New seasoning packets, improved utensils and packaging that doubles as an emergency aid are all updates that will be on display at this Winter Market Outdoor Retailer trade show (booth BR 547).
Already a tool for hypothermic emergencies, OMEALS enhances the flameless heater’s packaging with a highly reflective foil that can be used as a signal in search and rescue situations. The new foil also offers increased durability, ensuring the flameless heater is better protected in any condition or on any terrain.
As one of the first outdoor food brands to design self-heating meals that don’t sacrifice taste for convenience, OMEALS’ mission is to create an enjoyable and easy eating experience from start to finish. New for 2017, the outdoor food brand will also be introducing improved utensils – complete with a heavy duty spoon that features an extended handle that is 1.5-inches longer than the previous design – and new seasoning packets that allow consumers to salt and pepper to taste.
OMEALS has also invested in comprehensive testing through UL, a renowned global safety and science company, for an indoor air quality (IAQ) evaluation to offer a 100% guarantee that all emissions from the flameless heater are innocuous, non-flammable and safe when used in confined spaces – from cars, to caves and tents.

Starting in January and rolling out through the first quarter, OMEALS will begin introducing the new flameless heater packaging, seasoning kit and upgrade utensil set into every HomeStyle Meal.
