Front Runner Launches New Van Roof Rack System “Slimpro Van Rack” Dual Branded with Dometic

July 12, 2022

LOS ANGELES (July 12, 2022)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Front Runner, known for dependable, innovative and off-road tough designed overlanding and camping equipment, announces the launch of the Slimpro Van Rack system. The new roof rack system not only offers an additional entry point for those wishing to get into overlanding but also gives the van market a rack with multiple options from camping to load-hauling utility.

Following the acquisition by Dometic, a global market leader in solutions for mobile living and outdoor lifestyle in May 2021, Front Runner is now part of the Dometic Group. Front Runner and Dometic are both trusted outfitting sources for overlanding equipment and the Slimpro Van Rack carries the same legacy, at a price point that doesn’t sacrifice quality. The rack was developed as a collaboration project between the two brands, combining Dometic’s strong presence in the RV and van market; and Front Runner’s roof rack design ingenuity.

The Slimpro Van Rack follows in the footsteps of the time-tested Slimline II Roof Rack system for most vehicle types and the recently launched Slimsport Roof Rack for Trucks and CUV’s. With vans varying widely in sizes, shapes and applications, this new roof rack was designed to be highly customizable. It features an adjustable slat system to accommodate just about any type of roof-mounted equipment such as air conditioning units, skylights and air vents. The Slimpro Van Rack is compatible with most van sizes thanks to the adjustability of the Rack’s foot rail. This allows it to fit multiple van lengths, while the highly adjustable slat system offers rigidity and strength. Existing OEM mounting points are used to install the foot rail with no drilling necessary. In addition, the design allows for the rack to easily adapt to high and low-roof vans.

In keeping with Front Runner tradition, the latest rack is light in weight and low in profile. However, its sleek and unobtrusive aesthetics do not mean a compromise on carrying capacity. Whether a long distance van-life mission, weekend trip or hauling  equipment such as building materials and supplies, the low-profile and highly modular rack is designed to support large loads.

The Front Runner Slimpro Van Rack is available for consumers to purchase now (MSRP $1,105 to $2,135) directly from Front Runner’s online shop, through their Experience Center in Agoura Hills, CA or through a local Front Runner official dealer.

The latest rack system from Front Runner is compatible with the following vehicles:

· Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (2007 – Current)

· Ford Transit (2013 – Current)

· Ram Pro Master (2014 – Current)

· Citroen Jumper (2014 – Current)

· Fiat Ducato (2014 – Current)

· Peugeot Boxer (2014 – Current)

The rack kits are available for different length and height options.

The rack is highly versatile due to crossbar slats and side profiles with T-slot channels, same as for Slimline II rack kits – allowing the Slimpro Van Rack to be customized for any adventure with most of the 55+ top and side-mounted accessories which Front Runner offers. Furthermore, Expedition Rails can be installed on the sides, front or back to create a basket-style look and functionality.
