Global Packs Leader deuter Launches Aircontact Core and Ultra Backpacking Packs, New Ascender Running Collection

LONGMONT, Colo. (July 15, 2021) —deuter, the global leader in backpacks and outdoor equipment, announces the launch of its new Summer 2022 collection, delivering functional, stylish and sustainabily produced outdoor goods that include bluesign® certified materials and recycled fabrics, and are 100-percent free of harmful perfluoro carbons (PFCs). The assortment includes the all-new Aircontact Core, Aircontact Ultra, and Ascender.

The Aircontact Core ($250) is deuter’s newest backpacking pack that is designed with the perfect balance of comfort, adjustability and ventilation. The sustainable design includes bluesign®-certified body fabric as well as over 50% recycled materials and, like all deuter products since Summer 2020, the Aircontact Core is PFC free. deuter’s famous Aircomfort back system now features an even more comfortable mesh foam, allowing for increased breathability on the hottest days. The Vari-Slide customizable back systemallows for easy adjustments on-the-go so all body types can comfortably hit the trail. When trying to access gear throughout the day, hikers can easily rely on the J-shaped frontal opening to access contents.The Aircontact Core is perfectly engineered for multiday adventures in the backcountry.

Also new for Summer 2022 is the Aircontact Ultra ($240), designed for thru-hikers who need a lightweight and dependable backpack. At 50+5 liters and 45+5 liters, this is comfortable backpack is deuter’s lightest design, coming in at 2 pounds 11 onces. Like most deuter products, the Aircontact Ultra ultilizes bluesign®-certified body fabric as well as over 50% recycled materials. It features the updated Aircontact back system with the lightweight meshfoam, allowing for increased breathability at a low weight for those long and hot days in the backcountry. The back length is easily adjustable with a clip and loop system, making it perfect for a variety of body types, and to cap it off, the pack is made with the lightest fabric deuter has ever produced in the category, while still maintaining signature durability. The all-new Aircontact Ultra is where comfort meets lightweight.

The Ascender ($130-140) is a lightweight trail running pack for dedicated outdoor enthuiasts who want to go the distance. Available in 7-liter and 13-liter options, the Ascender series features deuter’s Lite back system, adjustable and detachable sternum straps, a collapsible trekking pole holster on the shoulder strap, ergonomic vest-style shoulder straps and moisture-resistant fabric against the back. The Ascender is sustainable and resource-saving with bluesign®-certified body fabric and it is made from 100% recycled materials. Each pack comes equiped with two soft flasks for quick hydration on the go and is hydration-system compatible. At 11 ounces, the 7-liter Ascender is a great option for a lightweight day full of mountain adventure.
