New multi-year contracts with USC and Penn State highlight robust list of collegiate partnerships for the brand

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (Sep. 23, 2019)— Honey Stinger, the award-winning maker of sports nutrition products featuring honey, is pleased to announce its full lineup of collegiate athletic partnerships for the 2019-2020 school year.

The list is highlighted by new multi-year agreements with both the University of Southern California and Pennsylvania State University, as well as a new partnership with Lehigh University for 2019-2020. In addition, the brand continues its agreements with existing collegiate partners Southern Methodist University, the University of Denver and Colorado State University.

As the official sports nutrition partner for these universities, Honey Stinger will provide nutrition for all teams and student-athletes across their respective NCAA programs, as well as supplying products for their fan base at select home events.

“As athletes ourselves, we understand and appreciate the exceptional commitment and hard work these student-athletes are putting in to excel at the NCAA level,” said Rich Hager, co-owner of Honey Stinger. “We also understand just how important it is that they have the right nutrition to optimize their performance and enable them to get the most from themselves. We couldn’t be prouder to work with these great universities and teams to help these athletes fuel their dreams and find success.”

USC has 21 sports teams within their NCAA program, with nearly 650 student-athletes in total. The school boasts more Olympians, Olympic medalists and Olympic gold medalists than any other school.

“We are thrilled to welcome Honey Stinger into the USC family as an official nutrition partner of USC Athletics,” said Drew DeHart, vice president and general manager of USC Sports Properties and Fox Sports. “Honey Stinger’s products will provide sustained energy for our student-athletes while offering delicious and healthy products to the USC fan base.”

Penn State’s athletics program features 31 varsity teams, encompassing more than 800 student-athletes. Penn State has won 79 team national championships all-time, including a Big Ten-best nine NCAA titles since the 2013 fall semester.

“We’re excited to begin working with Honey Stinger and welcome them to the Penn State corporate partner family,” said Doug Nelson, vice president and general manager for Penn State Sports Properties, the university’s athletics multimedia rightsholder and local Learfield IMG College team. “We appreciate the local, regional and national brands who support the athletics programming here and look forward to working with them on this new relationship.”
