Proceeds Support OWA Events, Launch of Worldwide Grassroots Program This Summer

BOULDER, COLO. (May 1, 2017)Kelty®, a leader in providing innovative adventure gear that is built to last, will partner with nonprofit Outdoor Women’s Alliance (OWA) for the month of May, donating 15% of sales from its Built for Women line on Kelty.com. Proceeds benefit OWA’s summer launch of its worldwide Grassroots Program that includes community engagement through regional activities, membership perks including VIP discounts and networking opportunities to meet like-minded outdoor enthusiasts.

Kelty’s Built for Women line of products is designed, tested and developed by women. The line incorporates women-specific designs, colorways and technical features and includes the women’s Coyote, Redcloud, Redwing, Reva and Sira packs and the women’s Callisto, Cosmic, Sine, Tru.Comfort and Tuck sleeping bags.

As a component of this partnership, OWA and Kelty will collaborate on a female-focused digital series on the brands’ blogs and social media channels, providing hiking and camping tips and ideas specific to female adventurists. Topics will include: safety tips for solo hiking/backpacking, hygiene in the backcountry and group trips – how to plan for adventure.
